SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Senior Accountant, report to the Chief Financial Officer
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Financial analysis in support of Integrated Communications Operating License holders (ICOL) and class radio license fee collection and submissions;
- Assisting with the monthly and quarterly accounting and reporting for all aspects of Finance;
- Assist with drafting of statutory financial statements and coordinate external audits;
- Provide forecasting, production and maintenance of budgets, cash flow and projections;
- Work closely in a small team environment with managers and staff on projects; and
- Carry out any other duties the Chief Financial Officer or his designate may assign from time to
Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University is a must (e.g. Business Administration, Finance or Accounting);
- Internationally recognized professional accounting designation, g. CA, CPA, ACCA, with 3 + years’ post qualification experience in the financial services industry is a must;
- Solid Public Sector Accounting Standards knowledge and work experience;
- Superior analytical skills with the ability to work independently and perform well under tight deadlines, would be a distinct advantage;
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities (skills testing may be required) (Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks would be a distinct advantage);
- Demonstrable ability to solve problems and offer solution-based recommendations;
- Superior communication, prioritization, and organization skills; and
- Experience with meeting regular financial reporting deadlines, with an ability to meet deadlines and to work weekends / public holidays when necessary.
